Trinity Bellwood's: A Symphony of Nature in the City

Welcome to  Trinity Bellwood's Park, a visual exploration of nature thriving within the heart of Toronto. Discover the unique beauty and landscapes of this iconic park through Aditi's lens.

Nature in the City

My photographs and videos capture the essence of Trinity Bellwoods, showcasing how nature seamlessly integrates into the urban environment. Each image tells a story of resilience, beauty, and the unexpected harmony between city life and the natural world.

My Perspectives

Above is a video of the gate entrance into Trinity Bellwood's Park. As discussed in my essay, you can hear the sounds of nature, as I walk through the gates and onto the cement walkway.  It felt like I had crossed an invisible barrier into a new world. The sounds within this new environment changed radically. The softer clatter of nature replaced the harsh clatter of traffic from Queen West.

The video below shows unmanaged plants from what seems like the summer months. An outdoor sustainable community garden.

My perspectives

As discussed in my essay, the video above  shows how one of the larger squirrels went out of his way to run towards me, which I could only assume was a very forthright request for food. The recording had finished abruptly as my first feeling was fear-I imagined it had rabies, and ran away, whereupon the squirrel pursued me for several seconds, but at last, returning to his comrades.

To the left is a photo of the unattended greenhouse, accompanied by some more unmaintained plants above.
